About

artist | hort head | single mom | quilter | voracious reader

I sew, knit, crochet, embroider, paint, collage, write, design and tend landscapes, make jewelry, and create mixed-media pieces and art dolls. I love to bake, hunt-and-gather at fleas & yard sales, and am the Queen of Laundry and Duchess of Spray Paint.

I can't, however, sing a note to save my life.

I am also a distracted driver and have become increasingly uninspired about general housekeeping. The great thing about middle age is that, as my eyesight gets worse, these things bother me a lot less. It'll be nice when my hearing goes, too; I'll be able to enjoy singing a lot more.

I spent the first 45 years of my life wishing I could be tall and thin and have perfect pitch. The reality is that I am short and fat and have a great sense of humor. I also have spiders on my ceilings and a darling six-year-old horror of a son.

Reality is much better.
