How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I got into the crafting game when I was about 12/13 and Google was my best friend. I was pretty much aimlessly googling "crafts" and I stumbled upon CO+K. I explored the site and fell in love! I loved the look of it and how the crafts that were posted were so eclectic. There was so much creativity and it inspired me, so I joined on the spot.

What projects are you currently working on?

Currently I'm working on a line of Halloween themed items for my shop, Frills and Chills. I'm planning on making resin jewelry, clay jewelry, decoden items, other accessories and even some clothing items. I'm also working on planning a Halloween themed photoshoot. There's always a lot going on in my mind!

What does your craft space look like?

I live in a small-ish apartment, so I don't have too much designated "craft space." My room is my craft space! My mom and I also share a sewing machine that has its own little corner in our living room.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

Resin, glitter, and glue are probably my most used craft supplies. Glitter, of course, because it makes everything better! My glue of choice is E6000, a crafters best friend!

What do you craft along to?

I love listening to music while I craft. I'll either make a playlist on my phone, set up a station on Pandora, or switch between music channels on tv. I also enjoy watching some of my favorite movies while crafting. Repo! The Genetic Opera is one of my favorite movies and never ceases to inspire me while crafting. I love watching musicals while I craft because I get the music that I can sing along to make the process go quickly, and I also get all of the visuals (costumes, makeup, decor, etc) that inspire me along the way!

Favorite Craft

When I began crafting, sewing was my craft. It stole my heart instantly and I was obsessed with making my own clothes. I then discovered jewelry making and fell in love with that. From then I've been getting into all sorts of various crafts. Right now, I'm really into making resin jewelry. Some of my favorite things to make are skirts and dresses from cute and creepy fabric, resin pendants/rings/earrings/magnets/etc, and various accessories out of toys and other found objects.

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

I've always wanted to learn to crochet. My mom is fab at it and I've tried but never really got into it. I love stitchers like Twinkie Chan who make super cute and out of the box things with such a classic medium as crochet. I don't think I'll ever pick it up!

Who are your crafting heroes?

My ultimate crafting hero would have to be my mom. I have her to thank for the crafty blood that runs through me. She inspired me to begin crafting and keeps me going every day. She doesn't always understand me and my creations, but she supports me 110%, regardless.
