How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I found CO&K while looking for ideas and new projects to make. I thought the site was fantastic as it was the first site I had come across were I could share my own patterns with other crafters. I had always loved making patterns and this was the first site I ever used to share them.

What projects are you currently working on?

I am currently working on a collection of large felt unusual animals. So far I’ve made a Tortoise and Anteater and in the process of designing an Aardvark. I also like to work on smaller side projects including a unicorn hanging decoration and stacking elephant family. I would also like to make a range felt birds.

What does your craft space look like?

I don't have the space for a dedicated craft room so most of my creations are conjured up on my kitchen table. This gives me plenty of work space for creating new designs. I like to keep paper close to hand to jolt down any new ideas. I always have lots of my creations around to keep me company while they are waiting for their new homes.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

The craft supply I use the most would be felt. I think the colours available are amazing. I find it so versatile and easy to use. It has the bonus of not fraying so it's ideal for hand sewn creations.

What do you craft along to?

I can often be found sat on the sofa watching movies with my latest craft project in hand. The benefits of hand sewing means no loud sewing machines!

Favorite Craft

I really enjoying hand sewing. I love the control this gives me as some of makes can be quite small and fiddly. Hand sewing also allows flexibility of where I do my crafting. My favourite things to make are out of felt. I like creating animals from bright colours to give them extra personality.

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

I would love to be able to crochet. I have tried and failed several times over the years. Unfortunately wool craft seems to be my crafting nemesis.

Who are your crafting heroes?

My mum is my crafting hero. She taught me everything I know about crafting. Growing up I watched my mum do a multitude of different crafts and I was always encouraged to have a go. Even today my mum still gives me hints and tips.
