About

hey! im just a crafty person lookin for stuff to do and make!

I think im going to post a story right here, im feeling inspired!~

Moving is never a joy. Especially, when you have to right as you make friends, or paint your room, or even remember your class schedule perfectly for the first time. I have experienced all of the above and many, many more moving experiences. I'm Louise Butler, and after having to leave my life 56 times, i learned its one-zillion-billion times easier to just not make friends, or not paint your room, or just look at the schedule plan. In other words, i just stopped trying to live my life. Until i moved to California. My dad moved my mom, him, and I to the tinniest town, El Segundo. It seemed nice enough, small, 1 mile walk to the beach, and constant sun, but i was still prepared to pack up ever since the moment we moved in. "Awww, come on! I promise this is where we'll stay. Well until you move out, then your dad and I are moving to paris!" my mom said jokingly. I know she was just trying to make me feel better, but she was so tired, her smile seemed forced, whether it really was or not. I sighed and nodded as i tuned away and grabbed a box of my clothes and carried it to the door. My dad was there trying to get the key in the knob of the door, threatening it under his breath. "Really Dad?" I said while I dropped the box and took the keys from him and put them in my back pocket of my jeans. I grasped the knob and turned, a quiet click as the door opened. "Thanks, honey..." my dad said, walking in. I shook my head, reclaimed the box and took it inside. "Well, the bedrooms are upstairs, the guest is down here, and there are bathrooms... well you'll find one." said my dad, taking the box from me. He strode up the stairs so i followed. "There are three rooms up here, and bathrooms connected to 'em." He paused placing the box down with an exhausted grunt, then resuming his speech, "Yeah, so you can have a choice of the two but the master," he said, gesturing to the door to his right, "is for me and your mum." "Yeah, okay. Thanks. I'll go check that out." i said turning on my heels. The hardwood floors caused my silver glitter shoes to squeak as i stepped. I kept watching my shoes for a second, but glanced up to see two doors, one on either side of the hall. I turned to the one on the right, turned the knob, and pushed the door open. I glanced around and i was surprised to see that it was big! It was big enough to have a queen bed, desk, TV, TV stand and bookshelf. Also, as promised the bathroom was connected on the right side of the room. "Hmmmmmmmm... ok" i said to myself an i turned and walked across the hall to the other door. i don't know why, but i was nervous to look at this one. I closed my eyes and pushed the door open. Yeah, this room took the cake. It was bigger than the other room, and it had a walk in closet, a sort of separate space for sitting and TV, and then there was the bed area, and the bathroom's bathtub was a bit bigger. I went back out to the hall and shouted, "hey mum!! i found my room!!!" i heard her shuffle up th stairs, then she said, "oh... okay honey, come down and help us carry the boxes in, then we can start on your room.." "ok." i said and folled her down the stairs where my parents had stacked up the boxes in mountains of cardboard. I grabbed the first box, seeing it was labeled "Louise." I took it up the stairs, down the hall, and then into my room where i dropped it. I continued to repeat the process again and again, until i had a carboard mountain of my own. "Pheww!" i sighed when i plopped the last box down. I got up and gathered my long, red hair into a high ponytail. I sat back down on a box when i heard my mum and dad come into the room. "oh, hello," i said waving. "yes, hi! so, we should get to work on un-packing. We can get some, uh, paint tomorrow if you would like to paint the walls." said my dad. "yeah, sure. That'd cool, i'll just un-pack my clothes and stuff..." i said twirling my ponytail. They nodded and left to work on their own room. Like i said, moving is never fun, and that's partially because of having to pack and unpack. Its useless to procrastinate, so i got right to work. I pried open the first box, and found it was full of clothes. I grabbed the side and pulled it to the closet, sliding it across the hardwood floor. Hour after hour I spent un packing as much as i could; clothes, soaps, brushes, and makeup. I couldn't unpack the rest because it went on shelves or my bookcase. Seeing as i had nothing to do while i waited, i went to go explore the house. Upstairs there were the bedrooms and a barhroom, the dark hardwood floors and very light, dainty, yellow walls, where my mum already put up family photos. Then there was the staircase, also dark wood, and then there was the main level. I decided to start at the front door, so i walked over to it. i faced toward the interior of the house, and headed left. There was a small area leading into the kitchen, which was nice with granite countertops and stainless steel appliences. I thought it was nice, but, i really had no prefrence in kitchens, so i walked through to the other side, where there was another door leading to a hall where i found the guest bedroom and another bathroom. then that hall led out to a sitting room with a sliding-glass-door leading to the backyadrd. I always loved having a yard, but alo loved when the houses had pools, but this house had the best of both worlds. there was a large area of green grass surounding the pool. I loved it! I then headed left and there was a closet, an office, a bathroom, and then you came full circle back to the front door. Since i went right first, i glanced left, and saw the dining room with a rectangular wooden table and wooden chairs surrounding it. "cool. MOM!" i called up at the stairs, because i wanted to get my bed, bookshelf, tv and seating area set up in my room. She didn't reply, so i went up the stairs very slowly, sudenly tired from moving. I finally climbed to the top of the stairs, and called again, " Mom? Dad? I'd like to set up my room, and id like your help!" I kept walking and got to my room and peaked my head in and saw my bed setup, mt sofa arranged in front of my TV, and my bookshelf assembled with the books on it. "MUM? DAD? Thanks, where ever you are!" i called out, still wondering where they could be. i approached my bedand noticed a note in loopy writing, obviously my mum's. it read "Dear Louise,
We have gone to the school to get your schedule and stuff. I'm sorry, tomorrow we cant go get paint, you have to start school tomorrow. I know you dont want to, but it just so happens that the school here starts earlier than back London. Be safe! Love, Mum" I really didnt want to go to school, but i figured i would just go and come home and just hang out. I fell back on to the bed and checked my purple gum watch, and gasped. i hadnt realized how late it had gotten! it was already 8 at night, so i decided i should shower. i Took down my hair, stripped down, and turned on the water. The hot water rained down on my head and slid down my pale, freckled, back. I was a frail, fragile thing, and still am. my skin was very pale, my legs were very long, my hair was very red, my cheeks, nose, shoulders, chest, and back were very freckled. Many boys thought i was cute. "Cute." i never wanted to be cute, thats what you call children, not teen aged girls. i had matured and was then pretty, but i think that was because i always wore unfit clothes that didnt show that i was tone, slim, and round where it was needed. Though when i went swimming people thought i was a model, my best feature was always my bright green and blue eyes. I washed my strwberry locks, and scrubbed my ivory skin. when i was done and drind off i tiptoed out of the shower and bathroom to my closet. I grabbed my PJs, which were small cotton shorts and a tanktop. I was truely woried about my parents, but i just figured they were asleep by now so i slid onto the bed and wrapped myself in my comforter. I had no dreams, just pitch black sleep filled my mind, but my alarm clock still woke me up. "ughhhh..." i blubbered as i strode toward the shower again to start my morning routine. Shower, Done! The shower refreshed me and i was feeling good, until i realized i now needed to pick out what to wear! It was the first day of school, so i needed to make a good impression. I figured this time, i might find a boyfriend, and might make friends. i didnt know, i just felt like i should make a good first impression at least. I thought long and hard, digging through my clothes, not knowing what would await at school, so i gave up and grabbed a pair of my dark wash cut off shorts, and a white tight fitted t shirt. I looked nice, and i would look good in all environments, so i hoped i wouldnt stsnd out too badly. I like to still be origianl so i grabbed my coat. Its a blue coat with a white stipe, long sleves (also blue and the stripe continues on the sleve), and a collar that is square-ish, and it has square buttons. What ive always loved about this coat is it only comes up to my mid-torso, and it isnt tight. I almost forgot my makeup, so i shuffled over to the bathroom and i applied very dark blue/ black eyeliner and black mascara. I thought i looked best with minimal amounts of makeup. I grabbed my purple gel watch and put it on. I checked the time, and it was around 6:35, so i grabbed my glitter shoes and went to the front door. I slid on my shoe and laced it up. "oh god. I have to go to shool now!!!" i thought to myself. My mum came down the stairs to wish me luck, and give me a hug. I was nervous, but i knew a good ride on my vespa scooter would calm my nerves, so i left the house and walked to the garage. out side was parked my little purple vespa, helmet, and gogles. I stradled the seat and put on my goggles and helmet and reved it to life. the light in the front turned on as i backed up, but then i stopped sharply and jumped off my scooter and scrambled to the front door.I flew into the house and climbed the stairs 3 at a time to my rrom. therre it was, my bag. i almost left without my schoolbag! I grabbed the plain black jansport bag and ran back to my vespa and continued where i left off. i drove up mariposa to main street, following the directions printed for me by my mom. you couldnt miss the high school, it was huge, brick, and grand. i circled it about 5 times when i pulled into the lot and parked. I gathered my bag, and tried to gather my emotion. I tugged off my helmet and goggles, hung them on the handles and walked up the walkway into a quad area. there were people everywhere, so i entered the builing at the nearest door. There were lockers along the coridoor and i saw a sign that read "OFFICE" I peaked into the room and saw a desk with a little old woman sitting behind it. "Hello?" i said to the lady. "oh, hi, do you need any help, hon?" she said glancing at me. "Oh, um yeah im new here, could you tell me where..." i said glancing at my schedule, "Mr. Hunning's room is?" "Oh, yes dear, hes down the hall to your right, then it'll be the first room on the left." she told me. I stepped in farther, seeing as i had no where else to go until the bell rang. "Well, im new here, so...oh, im Louise" I said. "Well i figured you weren't from around here! you have a very present english accent, its nice." the woman replies sincerely. The bell rang and i waved goodbye and headed to Mr. Hunning's class. I found the room and entered, but waited by the teachers desk. when most everyone was seated i went up to the teacher and tapped his shoulder. "Um sir? im new and where should i sit...?" i said very quietly. The man turned and said, "oh, yes, right.... uh you can sit over there," Said Mr. Hunning, pointing to an empty seat next to a goregeous blonde girl. I nodded and walked up to the seat and sta down. "Alright class! Today we are going to take it easy! Introduce yourself to your classmates and just dont be too loud." Shouted Mr. Hunning as he sat in his chair and started typing on his computer. The pretty, well no, sexy, blonde turned to me and said " hi, Im Kailey." smiling, and putting oput her hand for me to shake. "Oh, Hello, Im Louise." I said Grasping her hand and shaking it. "Oh, You are brittish, right?" she said hearing my accent. "well yes..." I said, but before i could continue she started saying " Well, here its veery cool, the accent is H-O-T!!" I thanked her, but then she asked, "So, have any gymnastics experience?" I said sincerely, "Yes, i took gymnastic classes for 6 years! I was top of my glass." i was smiling and giggling and continued" those were good times... So, why do you ask?" "well," she said, "im cheer captain and tryouts are today at lunch and after school." I really had nothing to say i just pursed my lips and nodded. "Soo? Are you interested?" she persisted. I didnt really want to but i felt i should just to try it. I was good, but, i hadnt done it in a while. "yeah, ill br there, its...?" i blubbered "oh its in the gymnasium, just ask anyone and they'll take you. i would, but i have to go earlier for prep." the girl said sweetly. The next three classes went on like that, because none of the teachers wanted teach, so when lunch rolled around they just let us leave. I caught a kid who sat with me in third period, and i asked,"can you take me to the gym?" he agreed and lead me across the courtyard to the brick building where he said bye. I opened the door and apparently i was early because hardly anyone was there. I was a little confused, but then i spotted Kailey in the canter of the room. I jogged over to her and said "hey!" and she smiled and greeted me back. "so, i'll teach you the routine." she said, "okay, so is like this, 5,6,7,8!" then she did a series of moves the flips. "You got it? i can explain it for you slowly if you want." said Kailey panting. "no i got it.." i said then coppied her hip movements and claps, then her cart wheels and back flips. I finished, panting, when she started clapping. "that was great, i think you made the team!" jenny complimented. i blushed and thanked her as the rest of the girls came in and spread out along the floor. Jenny turned and shouted, "hey!! okay ladies, im going to show you the routine, copy as bes you can, then ill go through and explain." Kailey did the routine and i copied. "okay, now im going to walk through." She explained the moves and the flips. The girls who got it stayed and the others left the building. we repeated several times to test endurance. After the hour, the bell rang and we all evacuated and walked to our classes. Kailey turned to me and said, "So, you, my friend, are very good!" "Thanks, i try." i said as we walked the hallway. when it came time topart ways i called to her, "Cheers!" and she said, "uh cheers? well bye!" the rest of the day went the same way the first part did. Finally the last bell rang and i got up and headed back to the gym for the final cuts. I got there second to jenny, and i took off my coat so i could be more comfortable. The girls came much faster than they did at lunch we ran through the routine a few more times when Kaily announced we would now test our tricks, jumps, and flips. She demonstrated but then told me to show them. "uh, uh, okay...?" i said. i couldnt say no, but i was afraid to mess up. I sucked it up and just did it. She said, "good. now, you all can do that? im sure you can!" she shouted to the girls. All went well and most of the girls were given forms to fill out about uniforms signifying they were in. I realized i should get home as soon as possible, so i ran to my vespa. I got on and squeezed into my helmet and covered my eyes with my goggles and rode home as fast as i could. I pulled up to the driveway and dismounted the scooter and removed my gear. I skipped up to the house and came in and called "MUM! im home! and i have big news...."
