How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I found CO+K many moons ago back in 2008 - it was through a search engine.

What projects are you currently working on?

I have just started to make some mini wreaths ready for Christmas - my friends laugh that its July and Im making for December. But you can never be too early I say!
In between making for Christmas I am upcycling shoes using decopage techniques and loving every minute of it!

What does your craft space look like?

My craft space is quite small at the moment. Its in the converted loft space of my house. Admittedly I cant stand up right in all of the room but thats not always an issue when I sit at the desk for hours!
Its lovely and secluded - which is often a blessing and a curse!
I can lose hours in this room. I have a pretty good set up though, I have a window up there which I can stare out of when Im needing inspiration.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

Scissors or my glue gun.

What do you craft along to?

When making:
*cards I listen to a playlist off my ipod.
*sewing & glueing I watch vloggers on YouTube.

Favorite Craft

I really enjoy making things with weird items, such as scrabble tiles or barbie shoes. These aren't considered the norm - but they are to me.
I love to make unique jewellery or homeware that I know isnt available in the shops.
Earrings are my favourite piece of jewellery to make - they're a real statement piece and are often the first thing someone will notice about you.
Homeware - Home is where my heart is and I like to surround myself with things that I have made. I feel it shows off my personality and I really enjoy making my house a home.

Laura's Top Crafts

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

I would love to make things with glass. I am always fascintated when I see people glass blowing and recently saw a video of a man making a horse with glass. Its a pure art form and I'd love to try it.

Who are your crafting heroes?

My crafting heroes are my family.
I grew up surrounded by people making things and being creative.
My Dad drew boardgames for me and my brothers to play.
My Mum was always making something on the sewing machine.
My Auntie and Nana were always knitting.
My Brother can draw ANYTHING and its brilliant.
They've all had a hand in making me the creator I am today.
