How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

I was searching for plushie patterns and tutorials online, and found the Fish to Sushi Plushie tutorial, which brought me to the site. I was amazed to find such a wonderful, active community of crafters, and joined straight away.

What projects are you currently working on?

Right at this moment, my desk is covered in felt, and the dining room table is covered in fur fabric, which I'm using to make a sloth scarf! I'm also trying to revamp a backpack to take back to university with me.

What does your craft space look like?

My craft space, strictly speaking, is a perpetually messy desk in my room, but when I'm crafting, I tend to spread out all over the house! My sewing machine and overlocker end up on the kitchen table, fabric ends up all over my bedroom floor and the dining room table, and any painting is reserved for a small glass coffee table in the family room! During the university term, however, any crafting that gets done is at my desk in my room in residence.

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

I think my most-used tool would be my sewing machine, which I got for my twelfth birthday. I remember being so upset at the time, mortified that my mom would buy me such an awful gift, and I lied to all of my classmates, telling them that I just got money. Now, however, I realise that this is the best present I could have ever got, and I still adore it!

What do you craft along to?

I usually craft along to random YouTube videos, or other series, depending on what I'm watching at the time. Most recently, I've been watching the first three seasons of Community - I love it!

Favorite Craft

My favourite craft is probably sewing, as I love making little plushies! However, I also like more "serious" sewing, and enjoy making clothing for myself.

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

For ages now, I've been dying to learn to crochet, but I've just never got around to it! I think that it's a great skill to have, and I hope to learn sometime soon.

Who are your crafting heroes?

Although there are a lot of crafters whom I admire, my ultimate crafting hero would definitely have to be my mom. For as long as I can remember, she's been making everything and everything - from fairy princess and mermaid outfits for me when I was little, to decor accessories and everything in between. She's a junior school art teacher, but for most of my life she's been working as a professional miniature doll maker, which I think is absolutely awesome. She's definitely one of the people I look up to most, not only in crafting, but in everything else, too.
