About

I am a retired teacher. I am currently learning how to monogram and embroidery so that I can open a small business in my home. I learned to sew early in life and was wearing clothes that I made myself in fourth grade. I credit both of my grandmothers for teaching me so early-one on an old-time pedal machine and one on an electric one. They each had very different ways of going about sewing, so I wasn't afraid to try anything as I designed Barbie and other clothes just as I wanted.
I had to retire early because of narcolepsy. I had a car accident that sent me to U of L in a helicopter, despite my protests-and was home in less than a week. But left me without a drivers license. If you know me you know I'm a very independent person and this has definitely put a cramp in my style! Especially trips to my dear friends, Tonya and Scott's cabin on the lake. Tonya and I solved the world's problems floating for hours just off the quiet dock.
