My mom taught me to sew when I was 8, back in the good ole' 50's. I wanted to be sure that my girls would know how to sew and have an interest in creating. If I don't have a project or a book in my hands, I go nutso!! All 3 girls have taken a basic sewing course (I have 3 girls). One took only that one. The other two took beginning quilting and really liked it, and my oldest took another class (4-square). I'm a "former" Air Force Brat. Lived in Newfoundland,like Vancouver - only on the Atlantic side! In Japan, 35 miles of Tokyo. Hawaii, in Wahiawa, in the middle of the island of Oahu. Madrid for the last 2 years of high school. (I had FOUR h.s.'s! -- Hawaii, Norfolk, VA, Fairfax, VA and on the base 20 miles north of Madrid. My first year of college was at the U. of MD. campas, McGraw Kaserne (Army base), Munich, Germany.) Whew!!!! I got married at 38 and had my first child when I was 40. The other two were at 41 and 44. Y, no mas! They're now 22, almost 21, and almost 18.
