How did you find CO+K and why did you join?

Well, I guess I found CO+K from just browsing the web, it's been so long ago. I think when I saw how many DIY, and craft tutorials there were and then to find how easy a lot of them were, it really attracted me. I'm a novice sewer, have never taken a sewing class and ever since I got my sewing machine have learned all of my sewing from books and online tutorials. So to find your site was a blessing.

What projects are you currently working on?

I'm currently working on making a bigger lightbox for pictures. Another one of my loves, photography.

What does your craft space look like?

My craft space is my living room floor. I do just about everything on the floor. I know it sounds crazy, but....I feel as if I have more range and space on the floor.....

Which tool or craft supply do you use the most?

For now it's the sewing machine, because it always amazes me what a little bit of fabric and string can transform into.

What do you craft along to?

I don't have a tv, ( I know) but I do catch up on some shows on hulu, though a lot of times just jamming to some random music helps with the concentration.

Favorite Craft

I do a lot of different crafts, but I always seem to fall back on sewing. I think because I eventually hope to be better and finally be able to actually make my own clothing. But for now I can settle for the smaller projects. So far I've been in love with making things that can make your life a little bit easier, and I've also just recently ventured into the whole DIY recipes for cleaning and just plain living a better life. It's all about the know and then you can figure out the how. (All inspired by Kim Barnouin's Skinny Bitch: Home, Beauty & Style: A No-Nonsense Guide to Cutting the Crap Out of Your Life for a Better Body and a Kinder World. Very much worth the read)

If you could learn one new craft or make anything, what would it be?

Ultimately my next step should be to just jump in and start making my own clothes, it just seems so overwhelming and honestly I think with that, I would have to sign up for a class. But that would be my ultimate goal in the end. Little by little I hope.

Who are your crafting heroes?

A few of my favorite bloggers whom I've learned quite a lot from is Purlbee.com and SewMamaSew (http://sewmamasew.com/index.php). They both have great tutorials on the basics if you're a beginner and have bought a new sewing machine. But they also have some great tips on making life a little easier with your sewing and craft.
