Tell us a bit about your home and what you love about it the most?

My husband and I are first time homeowners of our 1979 ranch style lovely abode. Our home is the inspiration behind my blog and how I found my niche with decorating and DIY projects. Did I mention that I love being able to paint the walls? Even if that means painting a room again a year later after having a change of heart with a color scheme.

What was the first DIY project you did to your home or first thing you made for it?

There were so many home projects I started at the same time from being overly excited! Considering we moved into our new home without any furniture for our living room, my husband and I bought a saw and built a coffee table and end tables. I'd have to say our woodworking skills have improved tremendously since then!

Do you have any tips for staying tidy & organised?

I read the best book a few years ago: Sink Reflections by Marla Cilley. This book taught me to designate each day for a part of my home that I will tidy and organize. It has been the best thing I have done by far for my organized mess while crafting, creating, and making over a home.

If you could tour any celebrities home, who would it be?

I honestly believe that Joanna Gaines and I are meant to be besties! I need to make that happen. . and so I can talk decor and decorating while we drink our sweet tea.

If you had three wishes, what changes would you make to your home?

Wish 1 ~ Knocking down a wall to create an open floor plan. Wish 2 ~ Magically wake up and have landscaping with the most beautiful shrubby, plants, and flowers completed in our front and back yard. Wish 3 ~ Instead of tile, install hardwood floor. I can't imagine the process of removing our tile throughout 60% of our home.

Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?

I recently gained a passion for watercolor and calligraphy. I'm constantly taking local workshops to fine tune these new hobbies of mine. Check in a year from now. These new skills might start showing up in home decor projects.
