When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
I seriously got into cooking/baking when I was 18. The first recipe I ever tried though was much before then, and it was probably my Mom's chocolate chip cookies.
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
I like to keep my main baking ingredients (flours, sugars, oats) in large plastic canisters. I would assume the rest of my kitchen is pretty much organized the same as everyone else's ;)
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
Try out lots of different types of recipes, experiment with trying out your own recipes, and use your own judgement when it comes to flavors and ingredients even when following someone else's recipe.
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
Um, preferably no famous chefs or bakers - way too intimidating. Honestly, probably just my closest friends and family. And I'd just cook foods I know they would appreciate.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
Reading (a lot), fashion and styling, dancing, and giving people cookies.
Which cooking blogs do you love to read?
Pinch of Yum, Gimme Some Oven, Half Baked Harvest, Cleobuttera, Smitten Kitchen - just to name a few.
