When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
To pinpoint exactly would be difficult. I was an incredibly fussy eater as a child and as a result, had a particularly horrific relationship with food. When I met my other half about 8 years ago, he basically (over a period of time) said 'just close your eyes and try it!' And I did. And continued to do so - thus beginning my food loving journey. Once I started getting a taste for cooking and baking, I was hooked and the rest, as they say, is history!
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
I am the queen of organisation! A definite planner. I can't just dive head first into a bake without reading through the recipe, laying out all the ingredients and managing my time effectively. I also have to tidy/clean as I go, my delicate mind simply can't cope with creating a bomb site and dealing with it later. Tidy kitchen, tidy mind!
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
Get curious. That's it. Just be curious and passionate in whatever you do and you can't go far wrong!
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
Ooooh, that's a toughy! Do they have to be guests or could they cook for me?! Hahaha! Ok ok, probably Michel Roux Jnr, John Whaite, James Morton, Heston Blumenthal, John Campbell and Stephen Fry. I have absolutely no idea what I would cook for them as I'd probably be cowering in awe in the corner!
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I pretty much bake or cook at any given opportunity! Other than that, I like to relax by binge watching TV series (old & new)
