When did you first start making jewelry and how did you learn?

It was a hobby of mine for a long time. There's always so many small scraps left from my projects. Turning them into pieces of jewelry was a way to experiment with some new ideas while also making use of stuff that would have otherwise been thrown away.

Can you remember the first piece you made?

It was a cuff made from a piece of scrap leather adorned with an upcyled handbag strap.

Where do you look for inspiration?

Everywhere.

What's your craft space like and how do you organize your supplies?

I have a lot of little tupperware boxes and glass containers. My natural state is to be completely disorganized, so I have to make it harder to put things away the wrong way than the right way.

What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to craft along to?

Musicwise I listen everything under the sun. Lots of playlist and a lot of Bob Dylan. My partner listens to tons of comedy podcasts, so I hear a lot of those, too.

I love having movies on while I work, but my rule is that they be something that I've seen a million times so that I can keep my eyes mostly on what I'm doing and not the screen. Pretty In Pink, Breakin', Purple Rain, Flashdance, Strictly Ballroom and Valley Girl are the usual suspects. Basically anything with dancing or a teenager with a problem. Preferably both at the same time.

Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?

I do a little bit of everything. My daughter is super crafty, too, so she's always getting me try new things that I probably wouldn't have on my own. Upcycling anything & everything and making mini comics.
