When did you first start knitting / crocheting and where did you learn?
My Mum was a knitter and she taught me when I was about 6 or 7. Soon after that we went to the library and I discovered an encyclopedia on knitting stitches and one memorable school holiday, I worked my way through the book, teaching myself to knit and read patterns.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
I think the first thing I knitted (or tried to knit) may have been some 'improvised' clothing for a doll.
Who are your favourite pattern designers and celebrity knitters & crocheters?
Debbie Abrahams, Nicky Epstein and the Yarn Harlot.
What are your favourite things to stitch and do you have a favorite item you've made?
I love designing cowls but I think my favourite items are my quilts.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
I love knitting and spinning to audio books - mainly all the classics .. Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Charles Dickens .. that sort of thing.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I also crochet, spin, dye and quilt. My hobbies include Running, Geneological research and all things crafty and everything (including our 5 alpacas) at our little homestead.
