When did you first start knitting / crocheting and where did you learn?
I learn garter and stockinette stitch with my aunt when I was maybe 8 and I learn some sewing bits with my grandfather when I was around 10/12. But it is really in 2011 that I really got into knitting, my brother just had a little baby girl and I wanted to knit some layette for her. After that I became simply obsessed.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
I remember a garter stitch scarf in a pretty strange heather colour I've knitted myself when I was 15, I wore that thing all through college.
When I look at it know I don't know if I like it or if it is bloody awful!
Who are your favourite pattern designers and celebrity knitters & crocheters?
First is The master Jared Flood, who runs Brooklyn Tweed. That man has just put handknitting back into fashion like noone else. Then I really admire the style of Une poule à petits pas, who is the queen of knitting blogs in France. But there is also Isabell Kraemer, Kim Hargreaves, Hannah Fettig, Julie Hoover,...
What are your favourite things to stitch and do you have a favorite item you've made?
I really like top down cardigans and sweaters, and anything with cables!
It is hard to choose one item I really love, I'm kind of a perfectionnist and I'm usually not 100% happy with what I make, there are always things to improve. So let's say that I haven't made my favorite thing yet!
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
These days I'm watching Cousu main which is the french spin off of the Great english sewing bee, perfect for a knitting in front of the TV kind of evening :)
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
Actually I was sewing few years before knitting and they both are my main hobby, lately I've started crocheting a bit as well. Apart from that I do love to travel and take pictures.
