When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
I have always liked cooking. I remember being a very little girl, sitting on the counter helping my mom make cookies and brownies. I still make those recipes today.
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
My kitchen is very open, and I couldn't live without my island. I can prep everything there, and if entertaining it works great to serve everything from.
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
Just get in there and try. Cooking is like everything else, you have to practice. Start with easy recipes, and graduate to harder things. But just get in there and have fun. It's just food, it shouldn't be too stressful!
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
That is tough! There are just so many options! How about some of my favorite chefs; Michael Symon, Giada De Laurentiis, Guy Fieri, Gordon Ramsey, Rachael Ray, Paula Deen, Ina Garten, and Mario Batali. I would definitely not be doing the cooking though - we would do pot luck, so they could all cook for me :)
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I am not crafty! The photos you see on my blog are about as creative as I can get! Cooking has definitely become my hobby over the last few years.
Which cooking blogs do you love to read?
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I love trying new recipes, and experimenting in the kitchen. It doesn't always turn out, but it is fun trying. I get bored easily, so I am constantly sharing new recipes on my blog.
