When did you first start sewing and how did you learn?
I started to sew when I was in university. A friend of my mother, who is a dressmaker, taught me in her workshop while my summer vacations.
Can you remember the first thing you made?
I made a simple skirt for myself.
Do you have any favourite pattern designers or celebrity sewers?
I adore Cristóbal Balenciaga and Christian Dior. They are masters! On the other hand, I love the work of Lisa Lam (bags) Jacquie Gering (quilting), Elizabeth Hartman (quilting), Mary Norden (embroidery) and Yumiko Higuchi (embroidery).
What's your sewing room like and how do you organize your stash?
I'm very lucky. My studio is spacious, illuminated and very comfortable. And it's full of nice things souvenirs of my trips and photos.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to stitch along to?
I like jazz, Brazilian music and classic music. And the pop from the 80's.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I love all needlecrafts and I also like cooking, reading and travelling.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Since I started to work as a crafter, a blogger and a needlecrafts teacher I am very happy. One of the things that I enjoy the most is meeting people, in my workshop and on the internet, people who live very far and love needlecrafts like me.
