When did you first start making jewelry and how did you learn?
I started making jewelry 7 years ago. I was planning my wedding and couldn't find the accessories I was looking for in my price range so I decided to make them myself. I saw other crafters selling their jewelry on Etsy so I decided to continue teaching myself and open a shop.
Can you remember the first piece you made?
I made a pearl and crystal necklace that I wore on my wedding day and the first pieces I sold in my shop were flower rings and necklaces made from polymer clay.
Where do you look for inspiration?
Nature, the fashion industry and pop culture.
What's your craft space like and how do you organize your supplies?
I love to make home decor items and accessories using wire and beads. I love to work with crystals, geodes and other jewelry making supplies but use them in new ways to make things like mobiles and garlands.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to craft along to?
I usually work in complete silence in my studio while my daughter naps and occasionally I will listen to some music (country music because my husband hates it and I can't listen to it without him making rude remarks if he can hear it) on my phone.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
I run and craft and DIY blog so I am always working on some kind of project around the house. I love to decorate and upcycle items into new treasures. I enjoy, running, yoga and gardening when I am not making stuff.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Thanks so much for the feature!
