When did you first start crafting and how did you learn?
I have been crafting my whole life starting with my mom doing fun crafts at home. I loved art in school and earned a Fine art degree in college. I taught high school art then was home with my girls and started scrapbooking, doodling and mixed media. That is when I started teaching on-line and discovered Copics!
Can you remember the first thing you made?
I was always playing with legos and play dough as a kid, painting, coloring and drawing were a big part of my childhood. One of the first crafts I vividly remember is carving soap with my mom.
Where do you look for inspiration?
I spend a lot of time on Instagram looking at others art. I also follow a few favorite blogs and get newsletters from people who’s work I really admire!
What's your craft space like and how do you organize your supplies?
I have a desk and shelving in half of an office space in my home. I set up my photo and video equipment in the dining area because it has the best lighting.
I go through times when I am organized and then it builds up. I am do a major clean out.
The item that is always present is my Copics and refills on a beautiful shelving unit my Father in law built that sits on my desk.
What music/podcasts/TV shows do you love to craft along to?
Cooking and home renovating shows are two of my favorites to have on in the background of my crafting.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
Would love more time to journal in my Bible and Lear more about watercolor and colored pencil.
For other hoodies/activities I am an avid biker and hiker!
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Wishing everyone a happy Colorful day!
