Tell us a bit about your home and what you love about it the most?
We live in a 100 year-old home and I love the combination of history and fun that we have... each room is bright and unique and has a personality! Looking back at the state of our house when we first moved in... we've come SUCH a long way!

What was the first DIY project you did to your home or first thing you made for it?
These chevron chairs were my first big design 'statement' for our house. I found them on Craigslist and decided to go big and bold. Sure, the chevrons already feel a little outdated, but they still remind me of what I love about design and decorating: be bright, be personal, and HAVE FUN!

Do you have any tips for staying tidy & organised?
Tackle one or two things each day. Whenever possible tidy up when you can and then once a week be more thorough about putting things back in their place. I have baskets at the foot of each staircase to help corral things that need to go back upstairs or downstairs. And make it easy for EVERYone to clean up: baskets with labels, bookshelves with plenty of space... And give everything a designated spot: books, toys, crafts, etc.
If you could tour any celebrities home, who would it be?
Ellen Degeneres. Aside from just wanting to meet her, she has amazing design taste and is always working on a home somewhere or other!
If you had three wishes, what changes would you make to your home?
1. We need a new kitchen. I'm looking forward to the design, but the cost and the 'living without a kitchen' thing... not so much.
2. More storage. The only storage we have is in our basement and, well... I buy a lot of old furniture so that gets tricky...
3. We have a lovely fireplace in our living room that cannot be lined, so it can never work. I wish we could get this up and running.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
In a previous life I used to knit quite a lot. One day I'll go back to that. I'd like to really learn how to upholster. That's something I hope will be a hobby one day. And I've recently discovered gardening... I enjoy that a lot when I have the time.
