What are your hobbies?

I do! My husband and I love to ride our motorcycle! We ride a Yamaha V Star cruiser whenever the opportunity arises! It's been awhile since I've been on the bike since our youngest was born, and I am ready to hop on back and hit the road again! Together we have traveled quite a bit and have stories to tell. It's a great bonding time for the two of us, and you just can't beat riding in the Northwest!

What are your favorite crafts and what's your craft space like?

It's hard to decide on one craft that is my favorite. Basically, if it motivates me, I will do it! I am typically motivated by things centered around my family. If the kids need hats, I make them. If we're planning a birthday party, I begin sketching and designing everything.

My craft space is what most people call a formal living room. This space has been converted into our Bread & With It home office and art studio. It is an organized explosion of yarn, paint, graphite, charcoal, pastels, fabric, sewing, paper crafts and photography equipment. You name it, we either have it or want it!

When I'm not in my Bread & With It office and craft space, you can find me in the kitchen. This is where I'm cooking up all kinds of crafty food for the blog!

What do you craft along to?

Not really... strange huh? We don't have television. Well... we have a television... and we watch shows on Netflix. We just don't have regular shows we watch on TV very often.

As for music, I don't get much time to listen. Occasionally I set up Pandora to play a compilation of things.

When I'm crafting or cooking, there is a constant noise of children, people, dogs, toys, and excitement in our home. So what do I listen to? Family!

What was the first project you ever made?

When I was young, my mother always encouraged my artistic side. She was always finding arts and crafts to keep me busy. I remember making many potholders from looms and giving them as gifts.

What are your favorite items to make?

I wouldn't say there is one specific item I like over the others. I enjoy a challenge. Learning new patterns or recipes, especially when it comes to desserts, is a lot of fun! If I hear of a new technique, you better believe I'll be trying it out!

Which other craft blogs do you love to read?

Right now I'm pretty hooked on small blogs. I feel more connected to the authors. One in particular I've found myself checking on a regular basis...

Stinky Kitchen -

I am a huge advocate of healing your body with food, eating all natural, and avoiding GMO's. I like to think we eat a healthy diet. We are constantly making choices to eat right! I know we have a long way before we will be as healthy as Deborah over at the Stinky Kitchen. She has a sarcastic and comical tone to her writing that pulled me in from the beginning. At the Stinky Kitchen, she shares her knowledge of all things food, and boy am I grateful for her advice and humor!
