When did you first get in to cooking and do you remember the first recipe you tried?
I was ten years old and my mom taught me to make a fudge pudding cake.
What's your kitchen like and how do you keep organized when cooking?
My kitchen is beautiful. I've cooked in a professional kitchen where everyone needed to pull there own weight. I got used to cleaning up after myself as I worked.
What tips would you give to someone wanting to become a better cook?
It's the slogan I cook by and the bi-line on my blog "The secret to be a good cook is to use great ingredients. The secret to being a great cook is to use your ingredients with love!"
Who would you invite to your dream dinner party and what would you cook for them?
Jamie Oliver, Mario Batali, Julia Child, Alice Waters and YotamOttolenghi, Giuliano Bugialli . It would be a groaning board of homemade bread, local cheese, steamed seafood from the Bay of Fundy, interesting local veggie dishes and an apple pie made with apples from my farm.
Do you do any other crafts and what are your hobbies?
Dried flower arrangements. For hobbies: gardening, snow shoeing, skiing
