We were sent an awesome Instax Mini to help document our road-trip last year and took dozens of photos across the USA. Every shot slides straight out of the camera and develops right in front of your eyes. We're going to be giving one lucky Snippets reader the chance to win their own camera along with two packs of film.

One of the great things about this camera is that it's small but tough, so it's perfect for throwing in your bag and taking on adventures. It has a flash, so you can use it at night and comes with a clip-on lens for taking perfect close-ups of you and your friends. The fun part is watching your photos develop instantly and they develop from white which is so cool to watch!

The photos are credit card size which is perfect for stuffing in your wallet and you can see some of our favourites from the trip above.

Win a camera:

Leave a comment below with your favourite holiday photo you've taken and tell us where it was and why it was so special.

Congratulations to Shirls with this photo:

Contest closes: 20th June

You can find out more about the camera at the Fujifilm website.

A few years ago my family went with my daughter on her Make-A-Wish trip to Disney World. Through all the hospitalizations, she made it through some of her most dire moments, by losing herself in the movie "Cinderella". In this photo, she is standing in line to meet the princess, herself. The look of rapt awe on her face captures just how much this trip meant to her...and the rest of us, as well.

My sons at a pumpkin patch in WA state. Halloween is my favorite time of year, so this is special to me because I'm fostering this love early on in their lives.

this is my favourite holiday photo. it is of a Garlic Allium. it holds special significance because my Grandma loved them. This was our first holiday on an island she loved so much, without her. It is where she took me on holiday every year from when i was 3 and now i was 19 and there without her. but the flowers were out and so beautiful, alive and so colourful, just like her that for a while it eased the overwhelming sadness.

My favorite holiday photo is this one. It is from a holiday that we have here in Portugal, it is called "Carnaval" or (Carnival as you may know it from Brazil). This is me when I was 7 and my brother was 4. It is the most special holiday photo cause when look at it I can dream about my childwood, my inocence and our joy.

This last Christmas was very special for me. As I got to spend time with my best friend. He and his family took us to see a movie then walked around the shopping center at the outlets. My friend and I both love to skate so we promised to skate at the rink around the tree the following Christmas.

This is my favorite holiday pictureHappy It wasn't really a holiday exactly, it was taken during the Northampton Pride Parade of 2011. It was such a magical day! So sunny outside and everyone walking about gaily (pun intended). Sadly I missed the Pride Parade this year but I will always remember that day where everything was so simple. And rainbowed<3

my favourite holiday photo was taken at long island beach when i went over to Philadelphia for a mission trip. I just love it because its so bright and vibrant and it was pretty much the only day we got off in 2 weeks, so i think it was well spent. It was also my first ever time in America and i got to spend it with the great friends that i made over there. It just optimizes my idea of a relaxing holiday, laying in the sunshine with a smile on your face.

This is my favorite holiday photo. My family and I were on a walk and I just looked up at the trees above and the they were some of the most vibrant of colours I couldn't help but take a photo of it. I was so happy with how it turned out.

if I'd have to choose now, this would probably be my favorite holiday photo. Oh Venice. It's from a few years ago, when I went to Italy with my father. I remember I was quite obsessed with everything Venice/ carnival related. The romantic vibe the city has, the mysteries the city holds. Gosh, it's like nostalgia that never was mine. How beautiful Venice must have been in its glory days. I'm glad I have visited it and hopefully will visit it again, someday.

My favorite holiday picture is this photograph I took atop the Singapore Flyer in Singapore. I had the opportunity to take a once in a lifetime trip to the other side of the world last summer, and it was an experience I'll never forget. I learned so much traveling to Malaysia, Singapore, and even Hong Kong. This photo shows just how small us humans are to this giant planet and the monstrous things we are capable of building despite our size.

I cherish this photo, which was taken about 4 years ago at Puerto Galera, Philippines. Looking back, I was with my two cousins and my younger sister. I know this photo is very simple, but it brings back a lot of beautiful memories. What makes it so special is that it captured an unforgettable moment I shared with my loved ones. I get nostalgic every time I take a look at this photo. It makes me reminisce the good old times, and miss everyone in it. As what other people say, one good thing about a photo is that the people in it may have changed and have gone away, but the remembrance lasts and remains. There may be some that we were once close to, and who we thought would be in our lives forever, leaves the picture of our life and aren't there anymore.. what's left are these memories that will never fade. I believe that is why I'm so fond of taking pictures.

This photo is one of my absolute favourite photos EVER. I took it on It's A Small World in Disneyland last summer, after my best friend and I decided to go on the ride because of it's short line. It accurately represents our entire trip, with my inability to cope with hot weather (I'm on the left), and my best friend's affinity for tanning. It's definitely not the most attractive picture, but it shows what hams we are, and our love for the ridiculous.

My favourite holiday photo is definatly this one. I was in Cadiz with my karate tournament team to compete at the World Championships. We had just arrived in our hotel room when we went onto the Balcony and I noticed this awesome Manthis on the tiny clothes line. It was so strange I ran, got my camera and took a picture. I showed everyone the picture the next day and my Sensei said that a Manthis is supposed to bring you luck, and when my team and I competed 2 days later we got gold and became world champions. I love this picture because being superstisious I kind of think it was down to this guy Happy

Favorite vacation photo is definitely this one of my mom and I after hiking up to the top of the largest pyramid in the Altun Ha complex, a Mayan site in Belize. The whole day was so cool, we got to see the pyramids, of course, meet locals, and eat delicious food (in a shack on the river); then we took a boat ride back from the ruins, and saw monkeys and the biggest iguanas I've ever seen, and dolphins started following our boat in the bay... a really fun and interesting day, and totally appropriate for a kid who would end up an Anthropology major in college Happy

My favourite holiday photo is from Sete, which is in the South of France. I travel here every summer with my family; in the picture is mysef, and my mum and sister. Sete is a beautiful fishing town on the Mediterranean coast, and we'd just come out of the most delicious seafood restaurant after a morning in the sun! Shops, sun and family - what more could you ask for...

This is one of my favorite holiday pics from a trip I took with my brother to Joshua Tree Park when he came to visit me in California last September. It's a pic of me looking out into the canyons but in the foreground (which is really the background lol), you can see my bro standing afar. It's almost like I'm watching over him in the pic because I am the big sister.

This is one of my favorite pictures that was taken in San Francisco, CA. I absolutely enjoy going to this city and taking pictures of the bay bridge, alcatraz, pacific ocean and other amazing spots. This was the first family trip of the year so it was fantastic! I like how the Golden Gate Bridge is in the background and the lighting is great! I love the wind here and the vibe in the streets. This city is my favorite place also because of the Gharadelli chocolate store! Happy

I always love to make photo's on a holiday, because you get to see special things you don't have at home. When you make a picture of the things you've seen, they become a eternal lasting memory.
My picture is made last summer, when I was on a holiday in Portugal. I live in Holland, and the beaches aren't very beautiful over there. When I saw this beach in Portugal, I felt in love. The unbelievable turquoise blue sea, the soft white sand and the bright blue sky. This all in combination with the brightly colored umbrellas on the beach, produced a big smile on my face. I had a fantastic week.
Every time when I see this picture, it makes me smile again. I hope I can visit this heavenly place once more in my life.

this is the last picture taken before my "underwater/waterproof" camera died on a recent trip to Xelha in Mexico. If you've ever been to Xelha you know that you need a camera because you will never see anything like it again...right after the camera died I ran into a stingray that was as big as I was and a beautiful purple colour. It was pretty fantastic but all we got was a picture of my butt. So I could absolutely use a new camera...hint, hint...

I wont talk much and I would let my photo speak for itself instead! Happy I took this when I had my pre-summer vacation with my mom this year. We don't usually get along well but this vacation made us stick to each other stronger. We bonded best this time. And look! Isn't the photo stunning? I love my mom, as much as I love photography.

This long-exposure photo was taken inside a bridge at an abandoned turnpike in Pennsylvania. Some close friends of mine from Texas and New York were able to come visit me for a week, and I wanted to show them a good time can be had outside and without expensive amenities (they're very used to cruises and luxury hotels). This particular photo means a great deal to me because I will never forget how great it was to be removed from living, breathing city streets and surrounded by my chosen family.

My favourite summer photo! Two years ago, at the spanish island Mallorca, with my family. The picture is from the hotel, my sister and me standing under the pool's waterfall. I love the picture because of the effect all the waterdrops make, and simply because of the good memories I have from that trip!

This is my favourite holiday photo because it was taken a few years ago when we were on holiday in France and spent ages making the "happy birthday" banner for my dad. He has done so much for me and my sister and is always there when we need him. Also that day we visited a zoo and my sister got pooed on by a vulture- that was funny.

Just as a first note, my family technically lives in two places -- each over a thousand miles away from each other -- so you can imagine that we drive a lot. That's why I absolutely loved this issue (even more than normal!) -- it's something so true and close to me.

This snapshot is my favorite from any of our trips. The beach is undoubtedly one of my most favorite places in the world, and this one in particular was beautiful. I love the way that the light caught the waves on the water, the storm clouds rolling in and fading the light from the sunset sky. My brothers and I had just been fishing before, and although we didn't catch anything (notable enough to eat Happy) we met some wonderful fishermen on the pier and had a boatload (no pun intended) of fun.

Thanks for letting me ramble Happy

My favorite Holiday photo I have taken is from my little sister's engagement on Christmas Day 2010. I took this pic of my sister and her new fiance in our hometown of Davenport, IA down by the river on a beautiful, winter day. I love how it turned out! It means so much that I was able to be there for her on that special day and document it in photos. They were married this past Christmas, 1 year later, and are an amazing couple.

This was taken on Phi Phi Islands, Thailand. Me and my friend just finished our last year at high school. We decided we wanted to go to Thailand at the start of the year, we got both got two jobs part time jobs and worked after school, we saved up all year for the trip, it was a great accomplishment! This picture is where we were sitting down for lunch looking over the bay of Long Beach and we both thought this picture captured the perfect view. The Island, the crystal clear bay, The water Taxi's. The white sand and the beautiful shadow that fence made on the concrete near our table. It was a beautiful moment and all that stress from high school and working two part time jobs paid off, we got to see paradise. Happy

My mother and I went to Vancouver in 2008 and met my aunt in this super tacky bed and breakfast. This is a photograph of my mother on the telephone in the bed and breakfast eating from a bowl of nuts. We had never taken a trip together before, and we had a blast. Although this is not an obvious vacation photo, I believe this photograph encapsulates my mother's essence, and it reminds me of what a good time we shared together, which is why I love it so much.

My favourite holiday pic was the picture i took of an arch way of trees in Belgium. It was special to me as my big sister lent me the money to go on my first holiday away from my family. It was also the last holiday i had before my dad died.

This is my favourite holiday photo because I feel that it encompasses some of the symbols of one of my favourite cities in the world: London, England. I took the photo on a street in London in 2009 and edited it so that the hanging flower baskets, buses, telephone booth and post box all stood out in their original colours on a black and white background. This photo always reminds me of how much I love London, and brings back incredible memories of time spent there. It's always so great to have photos to look back on, even when the moment has passed!

This is my favorite holiday photo. It's made in Berlin. I was there last autumn with school for a week. It was definitely one of the best holidays I ever had. I like the photo because the boys wear the same shorts and it illustrates movement which is pretty cool I think. It is my wallpaper ever since.
This is quite a weird favourite holiday snap- I took it in Turkey, when we took a break from driving along this incredibly winding road at one of the lay-bys where they were selling drinks and fruit and kinda tacky souvenirs including these llama toys... why llama I have no idea! Just seeing this takes me back to the sunshine and beautiful scenery and the completely unexpected llama!

My favorite holiday photo is one of this years vacation in Barcelona! I think it's a special photo because we had such a laugh with getting up on that lion. Someone had to help my sister, because she couldn't do it alone. It was so funny that we just couldn't stop laughing. This photo really makes me happy! When I think of that moment, I have to laugh again Happy In this photo we finally made it to the bag of the Lion !! We love Barcelona!

My favorite Holiday photo was taken in Driggs, Idaho, USA. On the Idaho side of the Teton Mountains, across the state border from Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It was a 4th of July tradition that =my sister, my dad, and I would drive three hours from home to go camping and caving on the 3rd, then drive into Jackson Hole for site-seeing on the 4th and drive back to Driggs where we would watch the firework display at night. One the 5th of July, they have a huge hot air balloon race that takes off from Driggs and it takes place at a ridiculously early time in the morning. I just love how this photo came together as we were watching the balloons inflate in the crisp morning mountain air. My dad and sister seem to laughing about something awesome (bottom right) while I stepped back to take some photos, lol. Enjoy <3

My favorite holiday photo that I have taken is from last summer when I went to Kyoto, Japan to teach English for 2 weeks. It was special because I had never gone overseas before and I was with people that I had only known for a few days. During our time there the people that I was with decided to go explore the city, at night. While waiting at a takoyaki (octopus) stall, a Japanese man came approached us and told us the history of where we were. He said that we were standing at what was once the wall of the Emperor of Japan's palace. The man then told us of his travels out of Japan, and his love of Canada. After he had left us I turned and took this shot. The tree had lights in it, giving it an inner glow. The man talked to us for half an hour and he paid for our food, saying that he had experienced generosity abroad and he wanted us to remember Japan as he sees the world - kind and bighearted. I will probably remember that man for years to come, him and the beauty that I saw that night in Japan.

My favorite holiday photo has to be this photo. I took it on a road trip in Saskatchewan with my mom and my Grandma. The picture itself is beautiful as it captures the lush beauty of the prairies. And I also took it out of a moving car window, as I begged my mom to slow down so I could shoot it.
But it's more sentimental than anything as it was the last trip the three of us would take. My grandma died not too long after. I always look at the photo and remember the fun we had on the road trip, but also the beauty we experienced of my grandma getting to go home one last time.

This is my favorite holiday photo because after about five tries I managed to get the whole family in it. It was of Christmas 2011, so last Christmas. This picture is very important to me because a lot of my family is dying and it makes me happy to see how big of a loving family I still and always will have. Also it was a really good Christmas for everyone that year.

My favourite holiday picture was taken at the end of a holiday, driving back from Donegal (I'm Irish) with my mother, and with my boyfriend and sister asleep in the back of the car. It was dark and we had the camera balanced on the dash, trying to capture the lights of the road. It blurred, because of the movement of the car, but it reminds me of the fun of the trip and the emptiness of the open road in front of us.

Apologies, forgot to mention that the photo I posted earlier was taken in the beautiful outskirts of Taiwan, where the cooling weather and breathtaking sights provided us with a good respite and break from the city life we were used to.
My favorite holiday photo is definitely this one I took in Hyde Park in London when i visited England for the first time with my mom, little brother, and my mom's best friend. It was close to the end of our visit and I just happened to look up and see this path of clouds in the sky. It was the first time I had ever seen anything like it and it makes me think of a path leading to all of the possibilities in life. After all, the sky's the limit!

Holidays are seldom complete without the loving companionship of family. As we all grew older, we found that going on trips together became more of a luxury and rarity. This photo is significant to me because it reminds me that for that period of time, everyone was physically together spending precious moments with each other - something I have learnt to appreciate and not take for granted as I grew up. Family will always be a blessing to me. Also, who doesn't love the breathtaking scenery of nature? Happy

I love this photo because even though I wasn't away it shows that you don't have to be the other side of the world do enjoy yourself, if you just look at the simplest things from a different angle it can change everything. I took this photo because I was in the garden with my rabbits and i wondered how the world looked to them so I took photos of everyday things at their level. A holiday is doing what you enjoy Happy

This is my favorite holiday photo. I was in Bratislava, Slovakia, in the old town. I love it because of the way it combines modern with old slovakia, just like Bratislava itself (half of which is full of old architecture and new). I also think the buildings around it are beautiful and the combination of colors breathtaking. At the moment I was walking with my family who lived there talking and admiring the world around us. It always brings wonderful memories, seeing this picture, and makes me want to travel again!

This is my favourite holiday photo to date. It's when I visited Worcester during the Christmas fayre. It wasn't supposed to be a holiday however my family were home hunting so we took the opportunity to stay a few nights in a hotel whilst we were viewing houses. This image was taken during one of the nights which we, as a family, decided that this city is where we should live.
This photo to me, represents the catalyst that enabled me to move into a new stage of my life.

This picture was taken in Ireland, on Giant's Causeway, the most beautiful and magic place I've ever been. For me this picture means independence, because I was living there alone, I was so depressed, and then I re-discovered Ireland and then I knew that there were amazing things in life, and lots of new places to discover.
When I feel down again, I look at this picture, and it makes me remember that I have to fight, because life can be beautiful.

My favorite holiday photo would be when my family and I went to the beach in Florida last summer. we had been laying on the beach all day, we were about to leave so my mom went to stand by the water, it went rushing back out and she fell right in. This is the photo I took right after it happened. We are still laughing about it even a year later. I love this photo so much because it reminds me of how important my family is, and to always be happy no matter where life takes me.

My favorite holiday photo would deff have to had been the one of the beach scene. I remember taking the road trip to Key West, and thinking about all the stops we made along the way. When we finally got there, we were lucky enough to snag up the best hotel room. (with the best view of course!) This was the beach right outside of our hotel room balcony, and it was really serene and peaceful. It was the perfect get away! This photo is special to me, because this was probably the only place we have ever vacationed to that was so surreal. The water was crystal clear, the waves put you to sleep, and it was the place to wind down. Another reason why this photo is so important to me is because it reminded me slow down in life, and give myself a break. Life doesn't have to be a constant rush, but that there could be times to sit back and enjoy what nature has given us. Whether it's the fields of endless flowers, or the sound of the crashing waves....mother nature is always here to nurture her hardworking children. I grew up as a city girl, and being in Key West made me appreciate the open sea and the life in it. Hopefully, in the future, my next road trip will be to the mountains!

My favourithe holiday photo is this one. Unfortunately is anything but HD, because it was taken with my iPod. I was running on the higher deck of a cruise ship (the one who had a definitely unhappy ending, sadly), it was early morning. I remember I was listening to the last Within Temptation's album, one of my favourite bands. The volume was pretty high, I was focused on the beat, synchronizing it with my heartbeat. All of a sudden I saw someting weird: it was as if someone had switched off the sun. I stopped and looked at the sea: the sun had gone behind the clouds and it seemed to me...the sea had caught fire! I decided to take a picture of it (I was lucky my mp3 player does so many things!). Five minutes later, it would have disappeared . This photo is important to me because every time I look at it it says: always seize the moment. Watch out, be ready, be curious, enjoy small things before they disappear =)
