Instructions

  1. Small 16228

Start your project with gathering different colored ribbons, fabric scraps, small toys (they must be light weight), plastic flowers.. anything. Try different compositions.

  2. Small 16229

After your design is ready, take the craft felt and draw a circle by using a small plate, mug or cup. My fascinator bace was 10cm diameter (4 inhces).

  3. Small 16230

    Cut two felt circles.

  4. Small 16231

Sew the ribbons to a loop. Sew a gethering thread on to the edge of your ribbons and gather them. Sew the "ribbon donuts" on to the felt base.

  5. Small 16232

Roll up the zipper roses. Use one side of the zipper for one rose. My fascinator fitted three zipper roses.

  6. Small 16233

Sew the zipper roses together by hand.

  7. Small 16234

This is what you should have now.

  8. Small 16235

Pin the roses on to one felt base cicle.

  9. Small 16236

Sew the zipper roses on to the felt base.

  10. Small 16237

Draw a circle (1cm or 1/4 inches smaller diameter than the felt circles) and cut it out. I used the cardboard from a frozen foods box.

  11. Small 16238

Sew the felt circled together by hand. Sew only half a circle.

  12. Small 16239

pin the elastic band on to the base and try the fascinator on. Adjust the length if needed. Sew the band on to the felt base firmly.

  13. Small 16240

Put the cardboard cirle between the felt pieces and sew the rest of the felt edges together.

  14. Small 16241

If you want a veil to your fascinator, you can add some soft tull, organza, shiffon or lace to the front edge. Sew by hand.

  15. Small 16242

    Your fascinator s finished!
