Like Viktor & Rolf
As I was surfing Style.com to see what trend we have to expect in spring I came across these zipper bracelets by Viktor & Rolf and completely fell in love... what these cost though... pfew!

Luckily I figured out a way to make look-a-likes

  • How to make a zipper bracelet. Zipper Bracelet - Step 1
    Step 1

Take a zipper which size is bigger than the bangle when wrapped around.

    Wrap it around.

Cut where it meets the beginning of the zipper.

Measure the length of the zipper.

    Step 3

Take a piece of scrap fabric. It's very important your fabric is synthetic!

My bangle had a length of 26.5cm I cut a piece of fabric measuring 27.5 cm (you are going to snip the excess at the end). For the width I took 2.5cm with a 0,8cm seam allowance.

It's okay if the width of the fabric is smaller than that of the bangle this way it gets a finished look.

    Step 4

Unzip the zipper so that you have two pieces of zipper.

Take your fabric and one piece of the zipper and put right sides together.

    Step 6

Sew the other side of the zipper (right sides together) making sure it's on the same length as the zipper piece you have already sewn.

    Step 7

Iron it and snip the excess fabric right up to where you've sewn DON'T SNIP THE THREAD!

    Step 8

Take your bangle and fabric and zip it on! You might have to pull a little because it might be tight.

Where beginning and end meet cut to size if necessary and smooth down the edges with a lighter this way the fabric won't unravel. `

You can zip it closed or halfclosed it's up to you!

Personally I like to leave it open because I want to show the colour of the bangle I'm wearing underneath.
