So I suppose I'll make a how to. This is probably the SIMPLEST way to make a hat. No counting or increasing or decreasing, nothing like that! Just simple, obvious, HATNESS! Oh, the pictures aren't exactly "hat pictures". They are "myspace" pics, because I was just taking pictures... because I'm a teenager girl. Then I decided to Post it, and my camera batteries dies. So... mleh.

Instructions

  1. So you get your SIZE N! crochet hook. My biggest one [I really want a Z!]then crochet a line that fits around your head. Do it a little loose. I don't know the gauge. I'm really bad with that. NOW! MAKE A SCARF! lol. No, but this is the "scarf way" as I've dubbed it. I know there is a "scarf way" with knitting, but I didn't look up if there was crocheting as well, I just did it. :D I used a single crochet, so just sc for four rows [so you have your original row, then the four sc], then change colours. Again, sc four rows, do that so now you have 6 four-row stripes. Then you do two sc rows after that, end it, but dont cut it up to the knot. cut it around a foot long away. Then you attach the two sides, stripes matching up. Your last row, where the foot long string is left, weave the string in through each of the sc [you can use a yarn needle, I used a saftey pin, but putting the yarn throught he hole and useing it like a needle, due to lack of tools], then pull TIGHT! so the big hole, is now a LITTLE hole. Secure with a knot of some sort, I weaved the knot in through where the string was original, completing the circle I suppose. Cut the string, turn right side-out, and YOU ARE FINISHED!
