Description

i was watching project runway and saw one of the contestants having a wrist tied pin cushion and I pondered about how to make it and it wasn't hard seeing as I was just winging it as I went.....I did this while at school and was able to finish before eight period soo it doesn't take really long..

Instructions

  1. Small cc1 1257885252

ok grab that pen and fabric of chose and have them folded. ok, draw a square....afterwards draw long trianles from the coners of the sqaure...these will be your straps and it has to be long enough to tie to your wrist, but not too long to have too much excess. & cut!

  2. Small cc2 1257885342

Result now sew as indicated by the bright green line...but stop where it stops

  3. Small dscn4054 1257885390

filp it inside out and heres the result.. weird, huh?...(I was asked earlier if i was making underwear...lol)

  4. Small cc3 1257885456

now, we have to sew up(look at bright line in pix) to that when we stuff it we don't stuff the straps...do to other side too

  5. Small dscn4057 1257885466

once done..stuffing time! \(^o^)/ we need tons-o-cotton because if not enough we'd end up putting needled threough and pricking ourselves...lets not let that happen...sew up the hole closed(if the fabric frays, remember to tuck it in and then sew)...then your done!

  6. options!: (1)instead of just one fabric to do so you can make a sqaure on another fabricc and the straps from some other fabric and and then attach to the pin cushion... (2) forget the straps and give yourself a new pin cushion...although f you do that you can find any number of other how-to's in cutoutandkeep... (3) add velcro or a button, if you don't like tieing it up... (4) I've heard that there are other things you can put in the pin cushions...(I just thought it was little beads)..so this what I heard:cotton, wood shavings, sand(?),poly beads (i knew it!, rice, beans, fabric scraps, fiberfill, or bird sand....as you can see it's alot, but you have to be comfortable to whatever you use...or your allergic to it.. (5) make the cusin, but add an elastic wrist band...
