I cut up an old pair of jeans for another project and didnt want to just throw away the left overs... i used things i had in my craft froom so this project was free for me. heres an idea I had for the pockets. comes in handy when you wear an outfit that doesnt have pockets itself and u dont want to carry a purse. heres my first tutorial!
I cut up an old pair of jeans for another project and didnt want to just throw away the left overs... i used things i had in my craft froom so this project was free for me. heres an idea I had for the pockets. comes in handy when you wear an outfit that doesnt have pockets itself and u dont want to carry a purse. heres my first tutorial!
first take a pair of old jeans with back pockets. (this works best with jeans that have lids to their pockets, like a button or zipper.) chalk outline some tabs and cut it out, keeping the pocket intact.
this is what it will look like. do not cut off the back when cutting out the pocket!
i added eyelets to the tabs so i could string ribbon through so it would hold to my wrist. (if your tabs are long enough and can meet around your wrist then a button and hole would work too.)
like this!
use a lighter to slightly burn the edges to keep them from fraying. be careful not to burn ur whole project up (ask me what happened to the other cuff lol)
tie it with ribbon.
you can stop here for a cuff that is more versitile ooor u can add pretty tulle like i did in the next step!
take a few layers of wired tulle and lay them ontop of each other. sew them to the tabs of ur wristcuff. (DO NOT SEW THE POCKET CLOSED!)
this is what the front looks like after its been sewn.
tie it one and pinch the bottom of the tulle to make it all ruffle-y!
put ur drinking money in it and go out dancing! lol
