Description

Saw someone wearing one of this type of headband and thought wish i could knit or crochet, but i can't so thought i'd try to make one from an old jumper and it turned out better that i expected :-)

Instructions

  1. Small img0057a 1294688935

Cut off one sleeve. Make sure the sleeve will fit around your head first with a little bit of extra material otherwise you will need a bigger jumper.

  2. Small img0061a 1294689057

you will end up with a long tube. Flatten the tube-shape and sew the ends so they don't fray.

  3. Position it on your head over your ears to check size. Sew ends together so you have the band.

  4. Now for the flower, from another part of the jumper cut out the pattern,(im using my pattern off a previous project i did for a more detailed version of the flower go to: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/simple-flower-headband )so you end up with 2 big petals and two smaller petals. Then cut the circle out of felt (or any other fabric i just had the black felt handy). Place the petals on top of each other at angles and the circle in the centre, then pin and sew.

  5. Put the headband on and position the flower on the side. Pin and sew.

    Finished :-)
