  • How to make a mixed media. Winter Scene - Step 1
    Step 1

Make a collage using anything you have to hand. Different textures will create different impressions. I have some tinfoil for the moon, different materials for the trees and crepe paper, edges of a doiley and feathers for the ground. Make sure that all the edges are stuck down. Leave this to dry completely.

    Step 2

Cut out some easy cut lino in a background pattern. I used snowflakes. Ink the lino up then stamp it onto some paper. Do It a few times on different types and colours.

    Step 3

Ink up the collage. Make sure the paint covers it entirely. The first print will probably be a bit dodgy as the paint soaks into the different materials but once they are saturated then you can get some good images.

    Step 4

Print it onto all the different backgrounds and pick your favourite. The collage might not be able to be used again but the lino definitely can so clean it well..
