Description

*My friend and I came across this cute and fast project when out at an Earth Day festival. One of the booths had it as a free project, and so we came home with an awesome new set of earrings. Here are the directions!

Instructions

  1. Cut a few inches of thin metal wire for each earring; depending on the length you want your dangles and the size of your beads, you might need to go longer or shorter.

  2. Using your pliers, twist the bottom of each wire piece into itself so when you put beads on it, they will not fall out the other end. The twisted up part of the wire will be the bottom of the dangle.

  3. Use a knife or scissors to cut 1/4" inch think disks (or however thick you want them) from the wine cork. You'll need two, one for each earring.

  4. Alternate threading the beads of your choice and the cork piece onto each piece of wire, leaving about 1/4" left on the top of the wire to thread through the fish hook earring hooks.

  5. When you achieved the bead/cork decorations you wanted for each earring, thread the top of the wire through the fish hook earring hook, and use your pliers to bend the wire around the entry hole to secure it in place, making sure it is tight and close so the beads will not fall out. Enjoy your new crafty earrings! Alterations: You can use colored corks, whole corks, paint your corks, and any type of bead to make these earrings look any way you want.
