Description

In my house, pizza is fast, "I don't feel like cooking" food. I love white sauces more than I love red sauces. With cheese and artichoke hearts, this pizza is simple and delicious.

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees, If you have a pizza stone, preheat it in the oven.

  2. Melt the butter in an 8-inch skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about thirty seconds. Sprinkle the flour over the garlic butter and whisk together. Cook for about one minute, then gradually whisk in the milk. Cook until thickened, 2-3 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat.

  3. Roll the pizza dough out to a 10-12 inch circle on a lightly floured sheet of parchment paper. Lightly brush or spray with olive oil.

  4. Spread the béchamel over the prepared pizza crust. Distribute the mozzarella evenly over the sauce, then top with the quartered artichoke hearts. Sprinkle with the crumbled feta.

  5. Place the pizza in the oven on the preheated stone or a baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the pizza reaches desired doneness. Remove from oven and serve immediately.
