These are traditionally served on St Davids Day.

You Will Need (8 things)
- 265 g Plain Flour
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Mixed Spice
- 130 g Butter
- 65 g Sugar
- 75 g Currants
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp Milk
Steps (8 steps, 30 minutes)

Sift the flour, baking powder & mixed spice together.

Rub in the butter until breadcrumbs.

Stir in the sugar.

Add the egg & milk to form a soft dough.

Add the fruit & press in to combine.

Roll out the dough to 1/3" thick.
Cut into small 3" circles.

Heat a pan & cook for a few mins on each side.
Until golden brown & cooked through in the centre.

Serve warm, sprinkled with sugar.
