You Will Need (7 things)

  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Candle
  • Wax Paper
  • Construction Paper
  • Glue
  • 16 Popsicle Sticks

Steps (7 steps, 30 minutes)

  1. 1

glue the popcicle sticks in 4 squares touching eachother upon wax paper, this will allow you to fold the paper to make a box. (you can probobly use 3 squares to make a triangle candle shade or use more then 4 squares to make differnt shapes.)

  2. 2

While the glue drys, draw a design for the sides of your shade. i drew a tree but draw anything you want for all 4 sides.

  3. 3

cut the design out of any colored paper you want. then glue your design to the wax paper and let it dry.

  4. 4

Cut the wax paper around the squares leaving extra wax paper at the bottom and at the sides.

  5. 5

cut little slits on the extra wax paper at the bottom. only cut at the meeting of 2 squares.

  6. 6

fold the wax paper into a 3D square. and tape the bottem wax paper strips together like the picture. then tape the extra paper on the sides of the squares together to compleate the square.

  7. 7

place candles or some light source in the middle(i used fake electronic candles because it is less of a fire hazard)and let the light glow through showing off the great designs and you are done :)
