• 

  Step 1

  take the ends of one of your waist ties and cut of the end in a diagonal line. Then lay this face down on the other one and use it as a pattern to cut it in the same way.

  Step 2

  Sew these, right sides together.

• 

  Step 3

  Iron it out and you should end up with a 'v' shape.

• 

  Step 4

  Take the next section up on one of your waist ties and cut it so the end's straight. Then lay it on the 'v' piece and fold it to gauge how wide you want it. Once you've got an idea of this, cut it out.

  Step 5

  Sew the short ends together. Due to the nature of waist ties these won't match up exactly but as long as the difference isn't too great, it'll be fine.

  Step 6

  Flatten this out so the seam is at the centre back. Match it up with the seam on the 'v' shaped piece (making sure it's like an upside down 'v') and sew a line to hold it in place.

  Step 7

  Cut a small rectangle and iron the long edges in.

• 

  Step 8

  wrap this around the bow and sew the short edges at the back.

• 

  Step 9

  Finally, glue to an Alice band. (or a clip if you'd prefer)
