Description

I couldn't find any patches online so i decided to make my own! :) I hope you like it! you can also do this same method to make other patches :D

Instructions

  1. Small vixx rovix v neck design

What you will need to do first is print out 2 copies of Rovix.here is the one I used.

  2. Take one of the rovix prints and cut out the white spaces. when you get to the area around the "cheeks" and "mouth" leave small pieces of white so they stay connected to the black outline.

  3. Now that you have your rovix stencil. cut out a square of fabric from your jeans. Make sure it is a little bigger than your Rovix ( this is so you have room to cut it out after)

  4. Place your Rovix stencil on your jean square and tape it down so it does not move while you paint.

  5. Small img 1087

Now you can begin painting. I started with the blue sections but you can start anywhere you would like. I put about 3 coats on each spot. This was the end result before removing the stencil.

  6. Small img 1090

Wait for the paint to dry and slowly peel off the stencil. you patch should look something like this. otokaji!? Beware the paint may bleed a bit but you can fix any imperfections with the black paint :)

  7. Small img 1091

place the stencil on the side, you will no longer need it :) you can use the other print out now to make sure where the black lines are( in case your rovix bleed a lot like mine :)

  8. Small img 1101

Now take a pointed brush and make the black lines that are on Rovix. Take your time here. **the horns are very tricky so take your time and keep your hands steady. :)

  9. Small img 1103

When you are done outlining you have rovix! if you want to leave you patch a big square you are done! but if you want it smaller there are two more steps.

  10. Small img 1104

cut along your patch but leave a safe distance ( I would say 1 inch at the least)

  11. Small img 1104

When you have cut around the whole image, take your clear nail polish and go around the edges of your patch (this prevents it from fraying). and let dry. then you are ready to add your patch to a jacket, book bag, purse, or whatever you want to show your starlight pride on! :) ( you can also skip this step by leaving more room around the image and sewing around it).
