No canvases? Lots of records? Here you go!
I work at a nursing home and we are having '50s month next month. I decide it would be fun to use some the old scratched records in storage there to make art for the hallways!

  • Step 1

Gather your records- make sure they aren't good ones! It's best to use ones with scratches or that aren't valuable to anyone.

  • Step 2

Cover one of the record's sides with white paint, and let dry. This will allow your other colors to stick to the vinyl better. Don't worry if the coat is uneven, unless white is the background for your finished product.

  • Step 3

Use your imagination! Paint whatever you like on your recycled canvas! Then hang it proudly wherever you like!

Um...I'd imagine CDs would work, you'll probably need more than coat of paint because it's so slippery but it'd porlly work. It'd be cool to get CDs, 45s, and 78s to paint a series on since they're all different sizes...
