Instructions

  1. Small 108121 2f2015 03 22 232900 5

Scan your scarf print into your computer. Lighten the image by about 50%.

  2. Print out the portion of the pattern you want to turn into a pin on the Shrinky Dink printer paper. Remember that your image will shrink about 70% when deciding on how large you are printing the image.

  3. Small 108121 2f2015 03 22 233303 7

Cut out your image. You're ready for the oven now!

  4. Small 108121 2f2015 03 22 233405 8

A toaster oven works best for this. Place your pieces on a rectangle of brown paper in a preheated oven of 275 degrees F. Once your pieces have shrunk and uncurled, let them bake another 30 seconds. This whole process takes about 3 minutes. Be sure to keep an eye on them!

  5. Small 108121 2f2015 03 22 233720 9

Remove from oven. Place another piece of brown paper and a heavy object, like a thick book, on top of them for about 15 seconds.

Once they are cooled, glue pin back onto back of plastic.
