1980s curtain to cute satchel!
I got this ugly 1988 curtain fabric from a jumble sale a few weeks ago and I'd been dying to turn the ugly into something lovely!
I made my own pattern, front and back, sides, bottom and flap and then pinned it all together to make sure it worked before sewing.
I then added a 1960's zip inside the bag, added a pearl trim (salvaged from my stepmums wedding dress)and then used some 1930's buttons.
The next step now is to make a matching purse! :)
