Vanilla Lip Balm

I used this lip balm as a gift for my friend's birthday. It is very simple to make and you have most of the things already at home. Because of the light reflection and the vanilla dots it looks as if it would be sparkling in the pictures, but it does not. The left one has some kind of yellow-brown colour. If you don't like that you can add a little lipstick or food colouring. You can see this version in the right picture. Please be aware that the vanilla paste leaves little black vanilla dots in the lip balm, but you can replace it with some other ingredient or aroma you may like.

Instructions

  1. Put honey, olive oil, petroleum jelly and vanilla paste into a little box. Stir it until everything connects as one thick mixture.

  2. Add food colouring or lipstick, if you like it to add a little colour to your lips.

  3. Close the box and put it in the freezer for about 10 to 15 minutes. See if you like its consistence. If not let it stay there a bit longer. And you're done!
