Start by cutting the vanilla pod in half.
Then, split the both halves of the pod down the middle.
Pop the pods into your bottle.
Carefully top with vodka.
Leave to distill for two weeks.
As you use your essence in recipes, top up the bottle with vodka to keep a never ending supply!
