Based on Vampire Blood Lollipops by lisa_ancarrow
I "made" these to put in "New Moon Premiere" packages I made for my friends, I added rasberry flavoring to the red ones and mint to the yellow ones and I labeled those "Edward's eyes" because I wanted to give a variety and i sorta made them the swirly yellow color of the Cullen's eyes. I also made a starburst pattern to look different then the blood ones and kind of like an eye.The reason I said "made" is because I didnt heat up the syrup enough so they never hardened and I had to throw them out, but I thought they looked cool and I will be trying again tonight

honestly I made these 2 years ago so i dont quite remember, but I think I put it in after everything was coooked, right before I poured the circle shapes out. Im not sure if thats the right way to do it because I used the whole bottle of raspberry in order to be able to taste it, maybe the hotness cooked the flavor out.

when do you put the flavouring in, while its cooking or when you add the colour?

I love it! Get a candy thermometer and really make sure you heat the sugar up to 350 + hard candy stage and I promise the sugar will set perfectly. I love the yellow one - super great job
