Valentine's Day Gifts Cake

Cake Gift Boxes

Valentines Day is around the corner, so here's a tutorial for creative gift wrapping. This was last year's anniversary present. It consists of 3 presents in one. I wanted the gift to be special so I formed a cake of the 3 gifts. You could improvise as you go along, add more to it.

It could also be used for a birthday present minus the 2 gifts on top and a happy birthday label on it.

This is my first tutorial, so bare with me;)

(If you have already posted a similar tutorial, let me know.)

You Will Need (3 things)

  • Paper
  • Glue
  • Tissue Paper

Steps (5 steps, 60 minutes)

  1. 1

First, I wrapped each present individually. In my case I just used white paper to keep that 'cake' look. You could also use other paper or decorated paper.

If you only have 1 or 2 presents that would be okay too.

  2. 2

Next, I glued the presents together. It could be done with regular white glue, hot glue, tape, etc As long as the presents don't detach.

  3. 3

    Third, I decorated the cake!
I cut thin tissue/wrapping paper into squares and shaped them with a pencil to form the 'frosting'.
Then I added white glue to the edge of the cake and glued one by one. I wouldn't recommend the hot glue for this since the paper is so thin.

This method is used in alot of grade school projects

  4. 4

Once all the papers are in place (around the edges), I added the duct tape flower with a faux black feather.

American beauty moment for the duct tape rose hehe

Also added some stripes, again alot more could be added...the sky is the limit!

Finally, let's hope the bf doesn't eat it! enjoy...
