Union Jack Cake Plate

I saw this cake plate on sale for $2.50 and thought to myself "Ooo, I can paint that!"

It took me a few days to paint it because I had to wait for the paint to dry. Make sure you use a good quality painter's tape, when I used it paint had leaked underneath between the grooves of the wood so I had to take my dotting brush and very carefully cover up all the paint that didn't belong, that was fun.
