Join me as I show you how to create a Twist Gate Card Fold. I have also attached a PDF Direction Sheet for you to download and print!

Instructions

  1. Small 115737 2f2017 01 27 111209 twist%2bgate%2bfold%2bcard

    Cut Card Base as follows: Basic Gray Cardstock 4-1/4” x 7-1/2”. Score at 2-1/2” and 5”. Score diagonally on two panels as shown on the pattern. Note: You can use any color of cardstock

    Layer #2: Cut (2) pieces of Pop Of Pink Designer Paper measuring 3-7/8” x 2-1/4”and cut diagonally as shown on the pattern. I used two different patterns for my papers. Note: You can use any patterned or designer paper

    Glue the designer papers to each flap as shown in the photo.

    Layer #3 (inside of card): Whisper White Cardstock 2-1/4” x 4”. Glue to the center of the card on the inside. You can stamp a sentiment of choice to the this cardstock layer.

    Embellished Layer: Cut (1) using Melon Mambo Cardstock and the Layering Circles Framelits Dies scallop that measures 2-1/2” wide. Glue to the front top flap by gluing only half of the scallop so the card can open. Cut (1) using Basic Gray Cardstock and the Layering Circles Framelits Dies scallop that measures 2-1/4” wide. Glue to the top of the melon mambo scallop circle. Stamp the bird cage image on Whisper White Cardstock and cut out with the Banner Punch. Color the bottom with the Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Marker. Glue bird cage to scallop layers using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Cut out (1) of the smallest heart using the Layering Hearts Framelits Dies and Melon Mambo Cardstock. Stamp the “hello” using Basic Black Ink on the heart. Glue to the bird cage using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Note: You can substitute with other dies and stamps to create your embellished layer on the front of your card.
