Description

Crochet this turban headband using the half double crochet stitch and some cozy wool yarn!

Instructions

  1. Small 105843 2f2014 11 26 202024 img 0925

    1) ch 128 2) Starting in the second ch from the hook, half double crochet 127 stitches across (you might need to add or subtract stitches on your foundation chain depending on how big you head is) 3) Do 2 more rows of 127hdc (3 rows in total). Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Lie the headband in a circle so the 2 ends meet up

  2. Small 105843 2f2014 11 26 202108 img 0932

Twist one arm of the headband

  3. Small 105843 2f2014 11 26 202145 img 0936

Twist the arm of the headband again

  4. Small 105843 2f2014 11 26 202300 img 0958

    Sew the 2 ends together

  5. Small 105843 2f2014 11 26 202327 img 0967

You will have a big loop with 2 twists. Keep both twists on the same side. In my picture, they are on the bottom

  6. Small 105843 2f2014 11 26 202350 img 0976

Grab the top part of the headband and bring (like a half twist) over the bottom part

  7. Small 105843 2f2014 11 26 202439 img 1010

Grab the headband by the middle. And bring the loops together, so they sit on top of each other.

  8. Small 105843 2f2014 11 26 202600 img 1044

Sew the 2 layers of the headband together

  9. Small 105843 2f2014 11 26 202621 img 1047

Sew through both layers of the cross to secure it in place. Finish sewing all the way around the headband and fasten off. The headband is complete.
