BOSS pedals are very sturdy and can stand up to a fair amount of wear, so they don't need a heavy duty case on their own. All the same, this soft-but-thick sleeve helps cushion my tuning pedal and prevent any cosmetic damage. I keep that pedal in the bottom of a bag that gets thrown around a lot, and it still looks brand new.
