Description

Using a Ferrero Rocher tray and some old candles you can make an elegant/sleek looking candle.

Instructions

Gather your materials; you can use old broken candles for your wax or use brand new chips, whichever is most efficient for you. The 'container' I will be using is that of an old Ferrero Rocher chocolate tray because I love the lid's textures and the sleek design which will fit a modern house.

Turn your hob up to a medium setting and melt your wax, adding your scent and dye. To compliment the Ferrero Rocher you might want to use brown wax dye and a chocolate or nutty scent. I used blueberry scent and purple wax dye.

  3. Small 110363 2f2015 08 10 155834 4

Attach blue tack to the bottom of your candle wicks and place them in whichever series you fancy along the bottom of your tray. I did mine in a 3x3 grid style so that the wax will melt evenly when the candle is lit.

Use clothes pegs to keep your wicks upright for when you pour the molten wax by balancing the pegs on the edge of your plastic tray. This will ensure your wicks don't fall over.

Once your wax is completely melted leave it to cool for some while. (You don't want to pour boiling wax in to plastic or you might end up with a massive molten mess on your hands. I kind of guessed at what would be an appropriate temperature, it was just above room temparature.)

Leave your candle tray to set for a while; however long it needs.

Once dry you can trim down the wicks and snaz it up a bit. You could even use a printed sticker to cover up the impossible to remove 'Ferrero Rocher' label on the top of the chocolate tray's lid to make it more personalized.
