I love confetti at parties, but I don't want to spend any extra money on buying it. I figured out a super simple way to make confetti with just scraps of tissue paper. I came up with 3 different types of confetti: square, party hat (or triangle), and sprinkle. I think this is an awesome way to make confetti for any party. It is also great for graduations so you can make confetti to match the school colors.

To start: square confetti. I toke four squares of red tissue paper, all the same size.
Place them one on top of the other and cut about 1/2 inch strips.
Then, line them all up and cut squares. As simple as that. I did this same thing with green, blue and yellow tissue paper.
And here is the result.
Next the Party Hat confetti! Start just as before cutting strips out of tissue paper. I used green for this one. Make sure that the size of the strips are the same for this type of confetti. If they are not then you will not have perfect triangles.
I'll show you how to cut them on one strip but you can cut a few strips at a time. You just want to cut it at a diagonal like so.
Just keep going till you have a good amount of them.
Here are the pretty party hats! If you want bigger triangles just make cut your strips larger.
Last but not least, the sprinkle confetti. Start the same as before with strips.
Cut them across making tiny strips of confetti like so.
Here is the result.
Also, feel free to mix and match! Have fun with it!
