As it turns out tomorrow is one of my coworkers birthdays is tomorrow and I decided to take it upon myself to make some decorations for it. When I went to ask about the theme, however, the answer I got was “party balloons”, which isn’t so much a theme as it is the decorations that will be present. I am never one to be perturbed by something as silly as a lack of theme so I decided to go with it and came up with the idea of these super cute tissue paper balloons on the fly.

Start by cutting out two squares of tissue paper. Crumple one of the sheets up into a small ball . Then wrap the second sheet around the ball and twist at the bottom.
Repeat this process with all the other colors of your tissue paper.
Using your embroidery thread make a knot at the bottom leaving a long tail to look like the string on the bottom of a balloon. Cut a very long string of embroidery thread and use your hot glue gun to glue the balloons to the string to create a garland. I don’t have a picture of this so I will have to post it tomorrow.
They look like they’re about to fly away!
